My 2015 in one word: hectic. I don't want to bore you with the details but one thing I'm sure off is I want to blog again. Yes, I'm not done... yet.

I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss but I am quite fond of their editorial for the US Vogue. It looks really fun, and them being real life besties makes it double? Anyway, they do look like twins on some shots, especially when Karlie's beauty spot isn't visible. By the way, they also graced the cover for the March 2015 issue.

A Gypsy Flair

Re-discover your inner gypsy in this glorious editorial from Porter Magazine. Anais Mali is one beautiful muse in this rather exotic editorial photographed by David Bellemere in a sultry corner in Mexico. Sounds fascinating, right? The word sultry is often associated with the Summer season... but what I like in the fashion world is that everything is possible. So sultry for Spring? Yes, please!

Elle Croatia January 2015: Pletivo U Srcu

According to Google Translate, Pletivo U Srcu means Knitting In The Heart. The translation doesn't make any sense and it's, most often-than not, off. But I somehow developed a bad habit of abusing Google Translate whenever I want to know the geist of things. Anyway, thank goodness a picture means a thousand words so even though I don't know what the title is all about, I can still enjoy the story of the editorial by just looking at it. And this one depicts a gorgeous albeit gloomy story.

A Marsala Guide

An earthy wine red that enriches our minds, bodies and souls. That's Pantone's Color of the Year, Marsala. I've been a fan of this color ever since I've known how to paint my own lipstick. Honestly, the description is different from what I perceived of. I usually describe this as the vamp kind of red that makes you feel sexy and powerful at the same time. It's like Mauve but richer in color . 

Anyway, to my excitement for the New Year, I came up with this Marsala Guide.

Rio Boêmio

I'm quite partial to the places that I wanted to visit. Voila, a gorgeous editorial featuring Rio de Janeiro. This is actually a fashion editorial for the November 2014 issue of Vogue Brazil. I love fashion, but right now, this is the wanderlust soul in me that's talking.

Rio is one of the top places that I wanted to visit. The lovely beaches and the Mardigras... can somebody sponsor my trip to Rio? Haha!

I know I mentioned that I'm taking a breather from all things fashion, but who can resist this gorgeous bridal collection from the late Oscar de la Renta? No one! So pardon me if I cannot stick to my word.

PFW Favorites

Finally, my last backlog for Fashion Week Spring 2015 Ready to Wear. It's a very long series, but one that I enjoyed very much. And for the finale, here are my Paris Fashion Week favorites:

1. Welcome on board for Anthony Vacarello's world of ships and sailors!
2. According to Alexander Wang, Balenciaga wasn't only about pure, austere lines.
3. Roland Mouret's collection is all about contrast collar button-up shirts and peppy little dresses with front zips.
4. Come and see Alexandre Vauthier's take on NFL.
5. There's still a lot of skin and no shortage for transparencies in Balmain's collection.
6. Tribal without being too literal, that is the vision for this Isabel Marant Spring 2015 collection.
7. Women warrios? Gypsies? And, Game of Thrones? Yep, it's a clash of those elements that made Givenchy's collection to stand out.
8. Zuhair Murad's inspired by the French gitane (gypsy).
9. Elie Saab is a constant favorite because of his really gorgeous feminine designs. And the theme for his spring collection is called "Dive into the Deep Blue".
10. Di Libran dubbed her Sonya Rykel's collection as a "homecoming". 
11. They want tweed, and they want it now! It's major movement for Chanel lead by Cara Delevingne, and Chanel No. 5's cover girl the supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
12. Valentin Yudashkin's collection is very minimalist and simplistic, yet very gorgeous!

MFW Favorites #2

Fashion Week is long over, but I'm still not done in publishing all of my Fashion Week posts. Sorry about that. Just give me a few days to wrap everything up. This is my last post for Milan Fashion Week, and after this comes my posts for Paris Fashion Week. So yes, only a few more!

1. First off is Bluemarine. I'm so in love with their romantic flower-y collection for Spring! Everything is just gorgeous.
2. If you're into gypsy/boho style, then you will definitely fall in love with Etro's collection. It has a hippie feel. It's like you're back in the 70s.
3. The classiest active wear can be found in Bottega Veneta's collection. Everything is done in utmost sophistication and elegance.
4. Giorgio Armani's collection is all about light gorgeous fabrics with crystals and pailettes and draping. 
5. Going back to the beginning, that is Roberto Cavalli's collection. A powerful and impressive show featuring gorgeous psychedlic prints. 
6. Emilio Pucci has always been about goddess gowns and hippie beading. 
7. For Dolce & Gabbana, Spain is the new Sicily. Their theme is bull-fighting, flamenco dancing et. al. The result is just wonderful. And gotta love that epic ending.
8. Trussardi's collection may not have been 'that exciting' but it actually works for me. I like these clean cuts, minimalism and simplicity.
9. I'm so in love with these gorgeous flowing organza dresses from Luisa Beccaria.

MFW Favorites #1

1. I'm totally in love with Gucci's take on the early 70s with their Spring 2015 collection... and by the way, Kate Moss is present at the front row.
2. Jeremy Scott's inspiration for Moshino S/S 2015 is non-other than Barbie. Scott said at the backstage, "Like every girl and gay boy, I loved Barbie". And like him, I was a fan of Barbie too during my younger years.
3. Miuccia said, "I wanted to revive the beauty of incredible fabrics". And she did with this beautiful seductive dark beauty of a collection for Prada.
4. According to designer Fiona Cibani, the Ports 1961 woman has two souls inspired by the spirit of the Greek goddess Artemis: one strong and warrior-like; one sensual and feminine. 
5. Just Cavalli also features a 70s style for their Spring 2015 collection with more emphasis on Haute Bohemian.
6. Dsquared² has always been one of my favorite shows because of the different styles that they show season per season. Way to go Dan and Dean.
7. As always, Karl Lagerfeld did an amazing job in showing his beautiful craftsmanship for this "young" collection for Fendi.
8. Emporio Armani's fifty shades of blue. 
9. Alberta Ferretti's gorgeous bohemian collection is just wow!

LFW Favorites

Without further ado, here are my favorite collections from London Fashion Week.

1. Daks revolutionary collection is inspired from the Swan Lake. Gone are the days that Daks is all about Golf-ish fashion.
2. Everything is all about love and peace in this 60s inspired collection by Felder Felder.
3. Barbara Cassasola look into her Brazilian roots and came up with this gorgeous collection that's has something to do with 'beachside chic'.
4. Inspired by 'surfing', this collection by Markus Lupfur is just super fun and youthful.
5. Oh hello there flower child! Marchesa's Spring 2015 collection is all about flowers, flowers and more flowers! Gotta love the bohemian vibe.
6. Alice Temperly's inspiration are Japanese shunga paintings to come up with these gorgeous pieces for Temperly London's Spring Collection.
7. Gorgeous casuals for Topshop Unique.
8. David Koma's spring 2015 collection is all about bodycon pieces, sheer panel details and organza overlays.
9. Emilio de la Morena's inspiration for his collection is Spain 1983.. latenights in Ibiza and Barcelona.

Yep, this is yet another one of my Fashion Week Backlogs.

NYFW Favorites #2

And here's the second part of my New York Fashion Wek Favorites! The first part can be found here. There are just so many beautiful collections this year. In fact, if I'm not much of a procrastinator, I think I can still come up with another batch... but I'm so behind schedule. It's almost halfway through Milan Fashion Week and I still haven't published my post for London Fashion Week, whew! I have a ton of backlogs for Fashion Week so pardon me.

1. Monique Lhuillier mentioned that she wanted to grow her skills as a Daywear designer too! And it seems like she succeeded with this collection for Spring.
2. Believe it or not, J. Mendel's inspiration for his S/S 2015 Collection are paintings of buildings. 
3. Ralph Lauren's collection is very casual and sporty. 
4. According to Barbara Tfank, her spring collection is 'inspired by women's connection to nature and their feminine energy'.
5. Carolina Herrera's starting point for spring is flowers. But this time, she's pushed bounderies in creating this feminine yet rather edgy collection.
6. Diane von Furstenberg is all about powerful dresses and skirts. Only 2 paris of pants were showcased in the whole show ladies and gents. Oh, and by the way, Naomi Campbell closed the show.
7. Vera Wang's theme for her collection is 'Boyish Boudoir, Baby Bohemian'.
8. Tory Burch's collection is all about women empowerment. Her inspiration this collection is Françoise Gilot because 'she was a strong woman and a great artist... and she was the only woman who left Picaso'. 
9. There's always this dreamy feel with Alice + Olivia's collection. And this time around, Stacy Bendet took inspiration from Verseilles.

Here are some of my favorite Street Style moments during London Fashion Week...

NYFW Favorites #1

New York Fashion Week is just amazing! I wanted to make separate posts each for my favorite collections but that will take a very long while. Instead, I'm doing a favorites posts. I honestly, don't know how many posts will it take to cover every collection that I love... and this is just for #NYFW and mind you the first part...

1. Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 2015 collection is inspired by his all-time favorite rock band, The Beatles. Make way for Tommy Hilfiger's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
2. Adam Selman's collection is very sporty and chic... very different from Riri's CFDA nude gown. Yep, he designed it!
3. According to Jason Wu, 'the one word he kept thinking of is beauty'... and this collection of his is a redefined take on American sportswear.
4. Everyone's fussing about the 3-D glasses at Rebecca Minkoff's.
5. Escada is all about flowers. I love floral prints!
6. The bohemian mood is dully noted in BCBG by Max Azria.
7. A really whimsical collection from Lyn Devon. 
8. ...so in love with this collection by Pedro del Hierro Madrid.
9. According to Karlie Kloss, "There is no one on earth who makes a woman feel more beautiful than Oscar de la Renta".

Hervé Léger by Max Azria SS'15 RTW

Hervé Léger's Spring 2015 Collection is inspired by onna-bugeishas. They are Japanese female warriors belonging to the upperclass. I am amazed how the Azrias' innovated Hervé Léger's trademark bandage dresses and came up with this beautiful collection.
