Turn Back The Clock -- A Spring 2016 Couture Appreciation

Drawing inspiration from the past, that's the common denominator.

Zuhair Murad Spring 2016 Couture

Zuhair Murad's collection drew inspiration from panier skirts during Elizabeth I's regime. While Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli collection for Valentino is inspired by the early 20th Century Venetian-pagan romanticism. And lastly, Elie Saab's muse is the last century Englishwoman's trip to India.

Valentino Spring 2016 Couture

I always look forward in seeing the collections of these designers during fashion week. I am a big fan of Zuhair Murad's and Elie Saab's affinity for creating beautiful, fairy tale-like dresses. As for Valentino, it's that zing of romanticism.
